It's primarily a giant Frisbee golf course, and there's a lot of construction going on at the moment. Overall, I'd say it's still wonderful to lie on grass, as there's almost always a pleasant breeze.

It's a huge and beautiful park full of wildlife. We saw foxes, deer, geese, and even rare birds. There's a playground and a Frisbee golf course. There used to be a huge selection of pools and a large concession stand there. These buildings have been closed for years, but apparently renovations are underway. It's a shame more people don't know about this great park.

There is a sidewalk along most of River Road through the park and plenty of shoulder to bike on. Keep an eye out for the statue of the Spirit of Victory on the west side of the road south of the boat launch. The park has a nature trail, ponds, and picnic pavilions if you turn east from River Road.
