Considering that this multi-jet fountain was built between 1862 and 1864 and still amazes us so much that everyone must photograph it, then everything was done right back then.
Just find a spot and enjoy.

Hiking

"The French Parterre" is Cologne's best cool-down spot in the summer. The fountain shoots up over 20 m, so water mists are always blowing over the edge of the basin. They provide cooling like the famous atomizers in Paris. Only the Rheinpark with 14 bowl fountains, easily accessible by cable car, is similarly refreshing.

In winter, some miss the palm tree in the large flowerbed. Don't worry, it's in the winter garden and can go back outside in spring.
