Schlagsdorf is still shown on the map, but the town officially no longer exists. Even though many villages in the region (or further south) had to give way to brown coal mining, Schlagsdorf was simply abandoned. In 2002 only 15 people lived there. The settlement is now uninhabited and has therefore been deleted from the district list of the state of Brandenburg.
