Embark on the Stanford Trail and Brandywine Gorge Loop, a moderate jogging route spanning 5.6 miles (8.9 km). You'll experience a dynamic landscape, gaining 383 feet (117 metres) in elevation over approximately 1 hour and 2 minutes. The highlight is the impressive 60-foot Brandywine Falls, which you can view from various points. Expect to jog through woods and open fields, following a path that winds along a creek through a ravine. The terrain includes genuinely rocky sections and exposed roots, so watch your footing, especially after rain.

When planning your visit, be aware that the trail features varied surfaces, from paved sections to natural ground and even challenging wooden steps. We recommend wearing good traction footwear, especially for descents, as rocky and rooted areas can be tricky. These spots can become slick after rain, increasing the risk of an ankle-rolling hazard. The route is particularly scenic during autumn when the leaves change color, offering a beautiful backdrop for your jog.

This loop is nestled within Cuyahoga Valley National Park, offering a chance to explore its natural beauty. Beyond the falls, you might spot moss-covered sandstone ledges and beautiful wildflowers in the meadows during warmer months. The trail provides a diverse experience for those who enjoy varied terrain and natural scenery.
