Sélestat is also distinguished by the presence almost side by side of two medieval churches: the Sainte-Foy church (12th-19th centuries) and the Saint-Georges church (13th-15th centuries), one being Romanesque, the 'other gothic. They provide the opportunity to carry out an exercise in comparative architecture that is quite rare! On the right wall of the narthex (vestibule) of the first, you should not miss the engraving representing a knight on his mount. It is believed to indicate a place where justice was administered.
