Here, a gate valve ensures that the inflow to the Ludwig-Danube-Main-Canal can be kept in check and that the excess water runs off over an artificially created waterfall with a few steps to the Gruberbach in times of heavy rain.

Would you like to cool off? Then it's best to go full throttle through the small ford on the Kettenbachleitgraben! A gate valve here ensures that the inflow to the Ludwig-Danube-Main-Canal can be kept in check and that the excess water runs off over an artificially created waterfall with a few steps to the Gruberbach in times of heavy rain.

The whole water supply around the old canal is very interesting!
