You can make a good mid-ride stop at this beach or ride alongside it on the South Atlantic Boulevard bike lane. However, the bike lane is only one-way. On the other side of the beach, there is a nice atmosphere with bars, shops, and restaurants.

The East Coast Greenway: Fort Lauderdale Loop offers a delightful blend of urban and coastal scenery, perfect for a relaxed touring bicycle ride. You'll glide past the iconic 17th Street Causeway Bridge, spot the historic Jungle Queen Riverboat, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Las Olas Beach. The route transitions smoothly from lively shops and restaurants to luxurious waterfront homes and stunning ocean views along the Fort Lauderdale Beachfront Promenade.

This easy 8.2-mile (13.2 km) loop, with only 11 feet (3 metres) of elevation gain, takes approximately 44 minutes to complete. It's largely flat and paved, making it accessible for all skill levels. For the most comfortable ride, aim to visit between November and April, when the weather is cooler and drier.

This loop is a fantastic segment of the much larger East Coast Greenway, which stretches 3,000 miles from Maine to Florida. While a short ride on its own, it provides a taste of the extensive network and showcases Fort Lauderdale's unique blend of natural beauty and urban charm, making it a popular choice for those exploring the area by bike.
