This tobacco barn offers a glimpse into Fayetteville's past. These barns were utilized for air-curing tobacco. With the decline of the tobacco industry, the number of barns has also decreased. In the 1950s, there were an estimated half a million tobacco barns; now, only around 50,000 still stand.
