This is a remote summit, so please be sure that you are a relatively experienced hiker for this one: faint path from the south, and nothing from the west, and it can be quite boggy crossing the peat hags.
But if you like remote and wild, you are unlikely to be disappointed... you will really "disappear" here off the face of the earth. There really won't be here anyone else but you. Meugher (575m) is a grassy summit with the delightful amount of moorland surrounding you, and Great Whernside to be made out in the far distance (north-west). Enjoy!

Typical Nidderdale upland with Gritstone moorland, heather plateaux and peat accumulation on poorly drained tops. Described as the remotest and least-inviting summit in the Dales, as Wandering Cloud states, the terrain does not make for easy footing. You will need waterproof footwear (even in summer) and flexible ankles. Easiest way to get up Meugher to experience these views is from the bridleway to the south. There is a barely discernible ATV track leading part way to the summit.
