Hiking

The roughly carved letters "KW" stand for "Royal Forest". This symbol can often be seen on forest boundary stones and means that the forests in question became Bavarian crown property when the former Fulda offices of Motten, Brückenau and Hammelburg passed to Bavaria in 1816 after an eventful fate.
