Hiking

Just ahead, on the Pico das Éguas trail, there is a beautiful panoramic viewpoint overlooking Lagoa da Égua, on the left, and Lagoa Rasa, in front. It is a visual landmark and a reminder of the volcanic origin of the Azores.

Hiking

When the weather is clear, you have a beautiful view of the lakes from here. However, there can also be fog and then you can't see anything.
