Part of the city fortifications, built around 1320 after city rights were granted.
A knight's thigh defenses for tournaments on horseback are known as "Dilgen".
In a figurative sense, the tower protects the easily threatened land side of the city.
The passage to the city was created at the end of the 1980s.
