The beautiful little forest road is located between Allzunah (start or end of the Ilm Valley Cycle Route) and Stützerbach. The road is hardly traveled, the maximum gradient is about 7%. The road is well paved, but there are also older, uneven pieces. In Allzunah you are right on the Rennsteig, there is also the source of the Lengwitz (= source river Ilm).

You can also take the bus (line 400) from Bhf. Ilmenau to Allzunah (start Ilmtalradwanderweg). or stop Rennsteig junction. A bike ride (1.80 €) is possible.
