Chugach State Park Indian Creek

The Bird to Gird Pathway offers an exceptional road cycling experience along the scenic Turnagain Arm, treating you to continuous, spectacular views of mountains, glaciers, and the ocean. Accessing the Bird to Gird Pathway is convenient, as it connects the communities of Girdwood, Bird, and Indian, providing various entry points. The trail is well-equipped with numerous rest stops, benches, picnic tables, and some restrooms, enhancing your comfort during the ride. While generally considered easy to moderate, the presence of some gentle hills means it's not entirely flat, so be prepared for a few gradual climbs. Consider starting your ride earlier in the day to secure parking, especially during peak times.
