At the exit of Cerna Sat, a small town in the Cernei Valley, the Cerna River has carved a spectacular landscape into the limestone walls of the Mehedinti Mountains, with vertical walls reaching 100 m in height, overhangs and gorges of 4 to 6 meters ascending to the Corcoaiia Gorges.

Beautiful gorge not far from the abandoned village of Cerna Sat - the gorge is definitely worth seeing! Right next to its entrance is a small guesthouse called "Perla Cerna", but you should definitely call beforehand; however, I had no luck with any of the 3 listed phone numbers, no one answered, no one was there, so I ended up wild camping.
