The beautiful natural surroundings are home to a lot of history. Café De Lachende Vis has traditionally been the favorite café of the “Oud Empel residents”. Which are still coming to this day. The first permit dates from 1901 and still hangs in the café today. The café owes its name to the many fishermen who used to come there.
