If you take your time, there is a lot to discover along the way. From the egret to fossilization in the piles of gravel. Wall remains of the former houses of Neu-Zweedorf and wild snowdrops from the abandoned gardens. The large sand mountains are reminiscent of a desert landscape.

This is an official trail along the quarry pond. The lake is accessible at this point - there are no more prohibition signs. In summer, when the weather is bathing, this place is well visited - unfortunately there are also many cars parked here.
An interesting place where you can take a break.
Addendum 01/26/21:
Unfortunately, prohibition signs have now been put up. It was also clear - must be done in all active pits for reasons of liability alone.
