The tram Hohenstein-Ernstthal - Oelsnitz was a meterspurige tram. Between 1913 and 1960 she led from the station Hohenstein-Ernstthal on Gersdorf to Oelsnitz.
It brought for the city Oberlungwitz and the community Gersdorf, but also large parts of Lugau the long-awaited connection to the rail network. The 11.35 kilometer long and continuous single-track route was mostly on public roads, only 2.7 kilometers lay on its own railway body. The journey took about 50 minutes.
