The Union Chain Bridge, also known as the Union Bridge, is a historic suspension bridge that crosses the River Tweed, connecting Horncliffe in Northumberland, England, to Fishwick in Berwickshire, Scotland.
This structure, inaugurated in 1820, held the distinction of being the world's longest wrought iron suspension bridge at the time, boasting a remarkable span of 449 feet (137 m).
