Sandside Harbour is a pretty little spot with a small beach consisting of pale sands and rocky patches backed by dunes and grassland.
It is located close to the decommissioned Dounreay Nuclear Power Station and signs warn that radioactive particles have been found in the sands, so it may be better to admire this beach from the harbour than go exploring.

A short ride further down the road brings you to a quiet fishing harbour built around 1830. With little current use the harbour is up for sale.
The harbour is not far from the Dounreay Nuclear Power Station. With radioactive fragments being accidentally released in the surrounding sea and fishing being suspended, it is not surprising the harbour has little use.
