Cerro Calderico rises in the middle of the La Mancha plain, being visible for many kms. away and giving Consuegra (Toledo) its own stamp of identity. As the most relevant heritage elements we find the Castle and the Windmills that extend along its top following its longitudinal profile. Its views of the mills and castle, worth seeing.

These legendary mills, mistaken for giants by Don Quixote, preside over the town of Consuegra from the top of Cerro Calderico, in the company of the castle. They date back to the 16th century and some of them are still in perfect condition. One of them can be visited inside to learn about its machinery and how it works.
