Embark on an easy hike along the Tower Arch Trail, a 2.4-mile (3.8 km) route that guides you through the striking desert landscapes of Arches National Park. You will gain 447 feet (136 metres) in elevation over approximately 1 hour and 9 minutes, making it a rewarding and accessible adventure. As you walk, you will encounter unique geological formations, including the impressive "Marching Men" rock towers that stand sentinel over the path. The highlight of your journey is reaching the colossal Tower Arch itself, a 92-foot wide sandstone arch you can actually pass beneath, offering a true sense of its immense scale. This trail provides a quieter experience, allowing you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty without the usual crowds.

To reach the trailhead, you will drive along Salt Valley Road. Be aware that this road is unpaved and can be quite rough, so it is best to avoid it if conditions are wet, as it might become impassable. While Komoot rates this as an easy hike, the National Park Service considers it more primitive and strenuous in parts, due to sections with slickrock and loose sand, so wear appropriate footwear. Also, cell service is often unreliable in this remote area, so make sure to plan your navigation and communication accordingly before you set out.

This trail offers a fascinating glimpse into the geological wonders of Arches National Park, showcasing the powerful forces of erosion that have sculpted these iconic formations. The unique Klondike Bluffs and views of Salt Valley add to the scenic diversity you will experience. It stands out as a less-traveled path, providing a more intimate connection with the desert environment and its ancient rock structures. Discover the natural artistry carved by wind and water over millennia.
