Wätjens Park, also called Wätjens Landgut or Wätjens Garden, is a landscape park around Wätjens Castle with former farm buildings and other structures in the Bremen districts of Blumenthal and Vegesack. The country estate on the border between Blumenthal and Vegesack originally belonged to the Bremen merchant family Wätjen. In 1830, the head of the family, Diedrich Heinrich Wätjen, had a country house built here as a summer residence. The property was gradually expanded in the decades that followed. Today, the large lawn still offers you enough space to relax in the sun.
