The route is regular until halfway, then becomes flat, offering a suggestive overview of the area of the Votive temple and the bourgeois villas of the twentieth century.
Halfway through, at the Marian shrine and a water fountain, you can take the Vicolo del Paradiso as a variant.
At the foot of the imposing Venetian walls, you can choose your destination between Borgo Canale and Colle Aperto or towards Porta San Giacomo.
