Monument to the Thousand (Marsala). Monument / building commemorating the landing in Marsala of Garibaldi and his Thousand Volunteer Soldiers in 1860, which initiated the annihilation of the Bourbon army, the conquest of the entire Kingdom of the Two Sicily and the joining of these lands to the nascent Kingdom of Italy. Today, the building is used for conferences and as an information point managed by the Pro Loco organization (promoting products of the city and tourism).
