Only the phase from 1934-'35 falls within the protection: the actual passage with upstairs apartments. The object is executed more soberly than planned, in a style with elements of Functionalism; However, representative facades, such as those on Nieuwe Ginnekenstraat, bear witness to the influences of the Interbellum style. Since its completion, only few modernizations have been carried out, including on the windows. In 1980, light bars were installed at the top of the fronts in the shopping arcade.
