As you ascend, you will pass through ancient beech and fir forests, eventually reaching high-altitude moorlands and evergreen shrubs, offering a varied and engaging experience.
Planning your visit requires you to be prepared for the trail's challenges. The route features considerable elevation changes and slopes, so sure-footedness is essential for a safe journey. Be aware that the area can be quite windy, especially outside of summer months, so packing appropriate clothing is highly recommended. While the paths are generally clear, some sections may require you to pay close attention to the red and white trail markers on trees to stay on course.
The highlight of this loop is undoubtedly the Monte Cimone Summit, which stands as the highest peak in the Northern Apennines.
