Embark on the Brahma Lake via Pacific Crest Trail, a moderate 4.9-mile (7.9 km) hike that offers a classic experience along this famous route. You will gain 270 feet (82 metres) in elevation, taking approximately 2 hours and 6 minutes to complete. As you hike, you will pass several lakes, including Irish Lake and Riffle Lake, before reaching the serene Brahma Lake itself, a perfect spot to pause and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
When planning your visit, be aware that mosquitoes can be quite active, especially in the mornings and near water sources, particularly after the snowmelt. Bringing a head net and bug-free clothing is a good idea to ensure a more comfortable hike. Parking is generally available at the trailhead, which you can access via Forest Road 4636.
