The park is named after Alexander Von Humboldt, a German naturalist, geographer and explorer. It's possible to walk the entire perimeter of the lagoon thanks to a thick network of trails.

    Running

The Humboldt Park Lagoon is the heart of Humboldt Park. There are a bunch of trails and paths (mostly paved) passing through the park that are great for jogging. If you want some more miles, the Bloomingdale Trail is a few blocks north of the park.
