On the cycle path that connects Mantua to Peschiera, this section follows the river Mincio. The landscape is suggestive and peaceful. It is advisable to have more than one spare tube because not the entire cycle path can be reached by car.

Beautiful cycle path that follows the Mincio river. Excellent background, ample opportunities for refreshment especially between Pozzolo and Valeggio.

Other cyclists also confirmed my opinion, which is that the last handful of kilometers of approach to Mantua is the most fascinating part of the route. Without wishing to diminish the charm of the linearity of the path along the Mincio, just before arriving in Mantua you find yourself on a journey that, between curves and counter-curves, restores the mastery of the handlebars and, through interesting countryside landscapes, introduces you to the walkways between the lake. superior and the middle lake ... and therefore Mantua. As a tourist, you can discover some new corner or itinerary every time.
