The history of Wodenhof is closely linked to the neighboring old fief Grambow. For a long time, Wodenhof and Grambow were managed in one hand. So it is likely that knightly families like those of Halberstadt in earlier times, those of Brandenstein in more recent times lived at Wodenhof. In 1906, Grand Duke Friedrich Franz IV of Mecklenburg-Schwerin acquired Gut Grambow and set up a summer residence there. From 1914, the Wodenhof subsidiary was also directly owned by the Grand Ducal House.
