    Hiking

Mentioned for the first time in the early 14th century, the Teufelslöcher are among the oldest known caves in Germany. These are now closed karst caves. At the Teufelslöchern there are some rest benches and the local history nature trail of Jena begins here, which leads from here over the central core mountain horizon.
