With its approximately 82 hectares, Kozjak, which is up to 46 meters deep, is the largest of the sixteen Plitvice Lakes. It marks the transition between the Upper and Lower Lakes. You hike close to the water along the eastern shore across wooded slopes. Depending on the lime content, the lake shimmers sometimes turquoise, sometimes steel blue. The ecosystem is very sensitive not only below the surface but also around the lake. Swimming is not allowed here.

I knew the Plivice Lakes from photos on the internet and that's why I've been wanting to visit them for a long time, but you can't even begin to imagine that it's so beautiful there from the pictures. The water simply flows wherever it can make its way. And I didn't know that there was something growing between the waterfalls. And then these colors....can only be recommended....
