Just behind the city beach on the northwest side of the Sloterplas is Hotel Buiten. Contrary to what you might think, this is not a hotel, but a cafe/restaurant. It was set up in 2012 by local residents and entrepreneurs because at that time there was nowhere to drink a cup of coffee around the lake. "It's a very nice place to drink a beer or eat something delicious after work. They also have excellent options for vegans and vegetarians.”
