The Dune Shack Trail follows a loosely defined system of trails through the iconic Provincetown Dunes. This scenic spot grants you quintessential Cape Cod views over the sand dotted with American beachgrass to the Atlantic Ocean. Try to stick to the established social paths through the dunes to prevent erosion, which is a big problem in the Outer Cape; try not to trample the grasses, their roots play an important part in keeping the dunes in place and provide cover for many unique birds that live in the area.
