    Hiking

Sampson's Pebble is a striking glacial erratic located along the Midstate Trail near the border of Oakham and Spencer, Massachusetts. This massive boulder, perched atop a hill, stands out as a prominent natural landmark near the eastern edge of Oakham State Forest, close to the Treasure Valley Scout Reservation. It is also a popular spot for bouldering—a style of rock climbing where climbers tackle short, challenging routes without ropes, using only crash pads for protection. As you pass by, keep an eye out for climbers working hard on the graffiti-covered rock.
