A corach is a wall canvas that protects the communication between a fortress and a specific point that is not far from said fortification. The most common is that it is used to protect access to the place of water supply when it is outside the fortified enclosure.

The coraches of the castle of Calatrava la Vieja, Carrión, from where the water that reached the castle was supplied through mills, which was taken from the Guadiana river, from which there is no longer a passage through here, only a sea of leafy trees remains, in what used to be a river, which also supplied the moat of the castle walls.
