Very nice hike. But please note that a head for heights is absolutely necessary on the levada Nova. Please don't underestimate it. We are experienced mountaineers but this trail is not to be scoffed at. No walk. It's very steep down here. If necessary, just walk the levada Moinho. Very beautiful and less exposed.

No recommendations for children under 8 years of age... even that is borderline, sometimes it's hundreds of meters deep without any protection...
The trail is beautiful, yes...but also extremely dangerous. Apparently no one mentions it.
