Hiking

Time-honored and visible from afar, the ruins of the Castell d'Alaró are enthroned on the peak of the Puig d'Alaró. The mighty walls of the fortress were considered impregnable for centuries and have survived to this day as a symbol of freedom in the cultural memory of the islanders. In 1931 the castle was granted the status of an official Spanish cultural monument.
