Hiking

The memorial stone commemorates the natural scientist Alexander von Humboldt, who spent some time at the Tollensesee. Because Humboldt had traveled so much in South America, he had the idea to name one of the local hills after a South American mountain Chimboraco.

Hiking

From the riverside path in the direction of Klein Nemerow, the path to the Chimborazo memorial stone branches off well signposted on the left. A short climb leads to the lookout point with an information board.

After the ascent a bank is waiting to linger, a view over the lake and a summit book to exchange ideas on the hiker.
