The exhibition area was established in 1891 on the occasion of the Prague Jubilee Exhibition, on the occasion of which the Petřín lookout tower, the Petřín funicular railway, the Letná funicular railway and, finally, the Belvedere Electric Railway, the first electrified railway line in the Czech lands were built. The focus is on the Art Nouveau industrial palace with neo-baroque elements. This was created according to plans by the architects Bedřich Münzberger and František Prášil. - Today fairs, concerts and other cultural events are held here.
