Take your time in the wet and don't step on the wood can be very slippy.

If you go down the steep steps there is a pathway way halfway down, if you're not particularly adventurous turn left at that path, if you go right to the bottom and turn left to follow the river you will have to climb and slide down the odd rock and there are plenty of potholes.I did it in summer it was also up to your neck in ferns .
