A plaque provides information: After the plague was brought in by Spanish soldiers in 1634 and 114 of the 450 inhabitants died, the Fieberkircherl was built as a vow when the plague ended. It is assumed that the plague cemetery, the so-called Pestacker, which is located far outside the village, is around or in the immediate vicinity of the Fieberkapelle. From 1702 to 1762 it was a replacement church because the parish church burned down and was not consecrated again until 1762.
