The entire route is quite bumpy, full of patches and nasty potholes. On a gravel bike without suspension, it's almost painful in places; on a road bike, it's almost masochistic.
At least here in the forest, you can escape the busy traffic and occasionally enjoy a lovely view of the valley below – especially of the beautiful monastery ruins.
