"... In the past, the stream flowed over Düsseldorf-Holthausen and Itter to Himmelgeist, where it flowed into the Rhine. When the new Benrath Castle was built in the 18th century, it was used to supply the castle pond, the Spiegel pond, and the park's surrounding moats, and its mouth into the Rhine was relocated to Urdenbach. The lower part was drained.
A newspaper notice from 1941 refers to the designation "Ordenfluss" for the Itterbach, which is no longer known today. ..."
