This aircraft propeller from an English Short Sterling MK1 bomber is on display right on the harbor promenade. The machine was shot down by the German flak over the Baltic Sea near Nyborg on September 19, 1942 during World War II. Of the six crew members, only the 2nd pilot survived. The propeller was recovered by divers from the Nyborg diving club Moby Dick.
