Hiking
Löns gave up his studies prematurely in 1890. This, as well as his excessive alcohol consumption, led to a break with his parents. In 1891 he was hired by the newspaper Pfälzische Presse in Kaiserslautern, but was dismissed a year later because of his alcohol addiction and unpunctuality. Another short station was a newspaper in Gera.
