Hiking
Loos British Cemetery at Hill 70 contains the graves of hundreds of Canadian soldiers who died capturing Hill 70 in August 1917. Also found here is the Cross of Sacrifice, a large cross symbolizing the sacrifice of all soldiers of the Commonwealth who fought in the war. The cemetery is surrounded by trees and flowers, which creates a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Take in views of the nearby Hill 70 Memorial, which features an obelisk, carvings, and panels that tell you more about the battle.
