The state border between North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony has passed here since 1946. The historical border stones show that before that it was the state border between Prussia and Brunswick, and before the Napoleonic era it was the state border between Brunswick and Corvey. An interesting insight into history!

Cycling

The boundary stones exhibited here marked the border between the Kingdom of Prussia and the Duchy of Braunschweig. The border between the two states was marked in 1698 by 29 boundary stones, and in 1839 between Meinbrexen and Holzminden again with 290 large boundary stones over a length of 28.5 km. On the western side, P indicated the Prussian side, on the eastern side a B indicated the Brunswick side. The Heimatverein Höxter has issued a boundary stone from both generations here and provided a meaningful information sign.
