In this telephone box, you can hear the unmistakable sound of a steam locomotive working its way up the mountainside. Such telephones ensured contact between train crews and the individual stations for around 150 years. If the train encountered a problem, the crew would run to the nearest telephone box, which was installed every few hundred meters along the track.
